Ingredients of Chocolate Chip Chia pancakes

  1. You need 1/2 cup of white whole wheat flour(can be replaced with all purpose).
  2. You need 1/2 cup of unbleached all purpose white flour.
  3. Prepare 1/4 tsp of salt.
  4. Make ready 2 tsp of baking soda (I use aluminum free).
  5. It’s 2 tbsp of sugar.
  6. You need 1 tbsp of chia seeds.
  7. Make ready 1 of egg.
  8. Take 2 tbsp of oil (you can use any kind, but I prefer evoo or melted coconut oil).
  9. It’s 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
  10. It’s 3/4 cup of Buttermilk (or make buttermilk replacement by adding 1/2 tbs vinegar to milk and let sit 5 minutes).
  11. You need 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.

This is my first baking/cooking/recipe video.I worked really hard on it, so I hope you enjoy it.Transfer to a medium bowl and fold in cherries, chocolate chips, chia seeds and oats.Use a small cookie scoop to drop cookies and roll into balls.

  1. Mix together dry ingredients in large bowl.
  2. Mix in eggs, vanilla and oil.
  3. Mix in milk (add more if needed to achieve right consistency. Not too thick, not too thin). Add in chocolate chips. I give it a good whipping with the whisk.
  4. Heat pan up on low heat. Spray with oil and Pour 1/2 cup batter into pan. If you use higher heat, you will end up with a cooked outside and raw inside..
  5. Leave pancake alone until the edges look firm and you see lots of bubbles then flip.
  6. When both sides are golden brown, your pancake is done. Slather with butter (it is good for you!) And drizzle on some maple syrup. Enjoy!.
  7. Here's a helpful tip-use a pizza cutter to cut into pieces easily if serving to the kiddos :).

Not sure what went wrong, I followed this recipe exactly.The pancakes were very flat and egg-y, almost like crepes.Not bad but not the fluffy pancakes I was hoping for!
