Italian Meatloaf "My Way" instructions

  1. Place beef and sausage in a large bowl. Mix all remaining ingredients except last one(that's the topping). Crumble mixture into meat and mix in very well….I use my hands….get in there!!.
  2. At this point I allow the meat to chill in the fridge for an hr or two but if time doesn't allow, form into a loaf in either a meatloaf pan or 9x13 pan..
  3. Bake at 350F for 45-60 minutes. Remove from oven and pour tomato soup mixture on top. Return to oven for another 5-10 minutes..

Base of this meatloaf comes from Paul Prudhomme with a tiny bit of modification.I added the sweet and sour sauce that is often used for meatloaf and the result is wonderful.Actually, they did not sit at my table.

It brings back thoughts of eating it as a kid and loving every bite.Meatloaf is just one of those… I hate meatloaf that us full of vegetables. Some is fine but mine has none, just the flavouring of some.I DO NOT want to search the internet for one so if you have a recipe you wouldn't mind sharing, that tastes delicious and doesn't fall apart my husband never wanted to eat meatloaf becuase he hated meatloaf, so one day I just made it my way and it is his favorite now.I was on my way home from a road trip to New Orleans when we stopped in for lunch at a cafeteria style restaurant somewhere in Mississippi.
